We are all narrative driven, taking the fragmentary experiences that make-up our daily lives and writing them into a coherent personal story. We layer experiences and memory to obliterate, build and recreate our life stories, which in turn means we all interpret the world in a unique way.

We bring this narrative skill to interpreting images. We read marks, colour and composition to try to build a coherent whole that fits our own worldview. Text is read but never understood unambiguously.

These drawings are from my imagination and pull out unconscious feelings as figures, intuitive mark making and texts to build images that invite individual story telling.
